Sherwood Park Education Centre students regularly use the Baille Ard Nature Trails, which they refer to as the SPEC Trails, as part of their school day. Following is a commentary on the experience on the trails by one of these students.
“I like walking the trail at SPEC because I have been going there since I started elementary school at Cornwallis/Cusack. We would have a walkathon every September to raise money for school activities and field trips and we would go to the SPEC walking trail for our outings. I am in middle now and I am enjoying the trails even more now because we go for outings in gym and see a lot of nature. Another thing I like about spec trail is that I like being outdoors and I enjoy the fresh air and exercise. That’s why I like SPEC trails.”
