We have always welcomed dog owners and their pets on the trails and understand completely the pleasure derived from sharing time with your dog in such a wonderful environment. However, we expect that pet owners will respect the concerns of others and their right to enjoy their time on the trails.
Please be advised that the Municipal Dog Bylaw continues to be in force for the entire length of the Baille Ard Nature Trails. This is in accordance with an agreement with the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services. Simply put, dogs must be kept on leash and owners must clean up after them.
We recognize that the vast majority of dog owners comply with the bylaw and we thank them. Any questions can be addressed to the Bylaw Enforcement Officers at the SPCA of Cape Breton.
